"Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou,
and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them"

Introduction to FOLASEP Website
Hello All,
The Friends of Los Altos Stake Emergency Prep (FOLASEP) web site is focused enabling you to be successful in handling an emergency and resilient in assisting neighbors and friends. There are many resources and suggestions on this site.
Home - You’ll notice a number of links. These links help you get started with your emergency preparations. Whether you are just starting or looking to improve what you already have these links and sections should get you going.
Getting Started Menu - These are the same links as the front page presented in actual steps and their progression.
Below are links to the steps mentioned in the steps.
Emergency Alerting Systems - Great public services that warn and advise on emergency situations.
Know Possible Local Disasters - Here are some local disaster issues known in the area. Knowing what types of events that may occur will help you focus on your preparedness plans.
Make A Plan - Here are a few links to help collect information and
Make An Evacuation Kit - There are millions of links out there but it’s been narrowed down to 1 from ready.gov which is a great place to start and expand from there.
Get Involved - Surviving as an individual in a disaster will be more difficult than in a community. You are encouraged to be apart of your own community and help those around you.
What's your preparedness score? - This is a rhetorical quiz meant to help you think about possible life disruptions. Use this quiz to identify areas of weakness and improve.
Emergency Prep - Kid Version - Teaching kids at early ages about preparing for an emergency is very important. Here are some ideas to help you along the way.
The Monitor - This page is a simple way to get an idea of what’s happening in the stake. You’ll notice various twitter feeds and live news streams. Yes, you can follow these on your personal twitter but I’ve found it convenient to see them separated on the page to see who is saying what. This page will hopefully evolve to add useful information in a dashboard of the area.
About Us - More detail on our group supporting this site
Coordinators - This is a private space meant for Ward and Stake emergency teams to collaborate and share information. If you are meant to have access to this please email to losaltosstakeemergencyprep@gmail.com and it will be verified.
Volunteer - This site is a way for anyone to volunteer information which could be helpful to use in an emergency situation. This can go from time and talents to more specifics to amazon registries for anyone who would like to help should it be activated.
Recovery - This is the beginning of steps you can take if you become impacted by a disaster such as losing your home, reporting for missing persons, requesting special items for volunteers to help with.
I’m confident these resources will help you and your household prepare for life’s challenges. As you navigate through the site feel free to pass any comments or suggestions. One thing we will be working on is incorporating more community links. We have a wonderful community outreach initiative for our stake to get more involved with the local cities.
If you have any feedback please email folasepcontact@gmail.com with feedback, ideas and content you would like to see on this site.
May you and your family be blessed in all that you do,
